Acupuncture and Chinese Veterinary Medicine
Acupuncture/Chiropractic Treatments - $165- per session plus $65- minimum ranch call
fee, this includes Chinese Medicine diagnosis and electroacupuncture or aquapuncture as
indicated. Initial sessions generally last 30-60", follow-up visits
generally last 20-40". Sessions include Chinese Medicine diagnosis (tongue,
pulse and point evaluation), musculoskeletal and hoof evaluation,
chiropractic adjustment, acupuncture, herbal prescriptions and dietary
recommendations as needed.
Saddle fit may be checked and recommendations made. Extremely long or in
depth appointments will be charged an additional per hour fee at the doctor's
discretion. Herbal formulas or other
supplements may be purchased if prescribed. Ranch call fees, which are
determined based on your location, will be split in the case of multiple
horses at the same stable.
Chiropractic Evaluation and Treatment - $100- per session plus ranch call
fee schedule as above
Acupuncture/Chiropractic Package - for horses boarded at TJ Equine only,
twice weekly acupuncture and bi-monthly chiropractic cost is $750-/month (10 sessions - not including board).
Medications, including herbs, and bodywork will be an additional charge. We
are happy to provide estimates prior to entrance in the program.
Please be sure to return the completed health history documents and
questionnaire prior to your appointment.
We offer a limited number of canine and feline chiropractic/acupuncture
appointments at various small animal hospitals, please contact us for information.
Reproductive Services
*Pregnancy exams are recommended at 14, 24 and 45-60 days of gestation*
Breeding per cycle (fresh shipped semen) - includes all rectal and
ultrasound exams, post insemination fluid checks, up to 4 oxytocin
injections, single injection of prostaglandin if needed, single dose of HcG
for induction of ovulation (Deslorelin if needed is an additional fee), all
inseminations, 14 and 24 day pregnancy checks for mares remaining at our
home farm only. This fee does not include uterine culture/cytology, uterine
biopsy, uterine treatments (lavages, antibiotic infusions) or sedation. *all
additional services will be billed accordingly* $400-
Breeding per cycle (Frozen semen, timed on ovulation, single dose) -
includes all rectal and ultrasound exams every 6 hours up to ovulation, post
insemination fluid checks, up to 4 oxytocin injections, single injection of
prostaglandin if needed, single dose of HcG for induction of ovulation (Deslorelin
if needed is an additional fee), insemination, 14 and 24 day pregnancy
checks for mares remaining at our home farm only. This fee does not include
uterine culture/cytology, uterine biopsy, uterine treatments (lavages,
antibiotic infusions), sedation or frozen semen storage. *all additional
services will be billed accordingly* $650-
Breeding per cycle (Frozen semen, timed insemination, two doses per
cycle) - includes all rectal and ultrasound exams, post insemination fluid
checks, up to 4 oxytocin injections, single injection of prostaglandin if
needed, single dose of HcG for induction of ovulation (Deslorelin if needed
is an additional fee), both inseminations, 14 and 24 day pregnancy checks
for mares remaining at our home farm only. This fee does not include uterine

Breeding Soundness Exam (includes - rectal and ultrasound exam, physical
examination, reproductive conformation analysis, speculum examination of
cervix, uterine culture/cytology and uterine biopsy with post-biopsy
infusion) $420-

Uterine Biopsy (includes collection, histopathologic evaluation by
laboratory and post-biopsy intrauterine antibiotic infusion, ultrasound exam
to determine phase of cycle additional fee) - $250.00
Caslick's (vulvoplasty) Surgery - $60.00, additional fee for sedation
Twin Reduction - $150.00 (fees will vary depending on the gestational
age, does not include sedation)
Uterine Lavage - $75.00 minimum
Acupuncture/Chiropractic - as part of a breeding cycle $95.00 per treatment (at TJ
Equine Inc ONLY)
**Above fees do not include the cost of sedation. If sedation is
necessary additional fees will apply.
PRICES SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANYTIME
Per cycle fees apply to horses stabled at our home farm (TJ Equine Inc)
ONLY. For haul-in appointments at each of our home farms there will be an
additional day use fee paid to the farm and a veterinary appointment fee.
We do not provide any emergency services, nor do we
provide services other than those listed above. We are not a primary care
veterinarian.
